On the 4th of January 2010, the staff of Caritas Sri Lanka welcomed Rev. Fr. George Sigamoney as their new National Director. At a simple yet elegant ceremony he was welcomed by Mr. Newman Fernando, Senior Executive Manager and thereafter he celebrated Holy Mass at the Caritas Chapel.

A one day workshop on Inspired Leadership for Organizational Management was held on the 11th of February 2010 by Caritas Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Catholic Relief Service (CRS) of USA.

South Asia Farmers Conference is one of the major events of Caritas Asia where grassroot level farmers gather to learn and share concerns. This year’s conference is being hosted by Caritas Sri Lanka and will be held in the Diocese of Kurunegala from the 16th to the 22nd of September 2009.
