A one day workshop on Inspired Leadership for Organizational Management was held on the 11th of February 2010 by Caritas Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Catholic Relief Service (CRS) of USA.

The programme was conducted by Dr. Matt Bloom PhD, Associate Professor of Management of the University of Notre Dame. Dr. Bloom is a well known Management Guru who has conducted many management seminars and workshops and is an award winning author of many papers and articles on resource management.

The programme was organized with a view towards capacitating Diosesan Directors, Managers, Caritas and CRS staff so that the roles and leadership of these professionals and decision makers are fully recognized and supported in order to assure equitable distribution of responsibilities, rights and benefits, and to empower them to improve their methodologies and systems.

Fr. George Sigamoney, National Director, Caritas Sri Lanka in his introduction to the programme talked about the science of inspired leadership and how it can help empower resource personnel in the furtherance of their performances.
