Quarterly Review Meetings:
Two quarterly review meetings were organized and conducted during the months of September and October. The first meeting was conducted for the coordinators and animators of Western region on 26 th – 28 th of September and second meeting was confuted for Central region on 17 th – 19 th of October. Both meeting was conducted at the Green Center , Tholangamuwa, Kegalle.

The following objectives were setup for the meetings:
•  Self evaluation on individual performances of Animators and Coordinators
•  Identifying the strengths and challenges of the programme implementation
•  Introducing four Participatory Rural Appraisal tools for effective planning with the community.
•  Spiritual upliftment of participants in the respective areas of work.

Both programmes were well attended by the respective dioceses.

Steering Committee Meeting:
The next Steering Committee Meeting of National Animation Programme will be held on 08 th – 10 th November 2006 at Sanhidiyawa Center , Chilaw. The meeting was held on 15 th – 16 th August at SEDEC with good participation of coordinators and animators from the Dioceses and heads of the units of Development Programme Department. The achievements, challenges and drawbacks in implementing the animation programme in the dioceses were discussed. The need and urgency of forming a Federation and initiating new small groups, introducing new methodologies for the saving scheme was also emphasized. At the forthcoming steering committee meeting it is expected to focus more on the formation of new small groups and promoting secondary level leadership.
