Rev. Father Mahendra Gunatilleke was ordained to Catholic Priesthood on 25^th July 1992 in the Arch Diocese of Colombo. Since then, he had served at many parishes. He also served as the director and editor of the messenger newspaper at the Catholic press in Colombo. At the plenary meeting held by the Catholic Bishop’s Conference on 4 May 2017, Reverend Father Mahendra Gunatilleke was appointed the new National Director for the Catholic National Commission for Justice, Peace, and Human Development, Caritas Sri Lanka SEDEC. During his tenure, he adopted and implemented many new strategies for the development of the organization. He has been an inspirational and charismatic leader. His dedicated service to the church for the past 30 years has been a source of comfort, inspiration, and strength for the people of God. We are full of prayers, gratitude and joy for his service. May God bless him abundantly with good health and vigor to serve Him and His people.

Fr. Luke Nelson was the National Director for the National Catholic Commission for Interreligious Dialogue and Ecumenism in 2021. He is a senior priest at the Diocese of Chilaw with years of experience in the administrative and management sphere, especially within the church circle.
